The IOT revolution means fundamental changes for mining. Like all industrial processes, mining will become dominated by the acquisition of unimaginably large amounts of data, which need to be curated, managed and analyzed.  Autonomous operations are the first, highly visible, manifestation of the IOT phenomena.
